Most of the editor functions are mapped to hotkeys that are not displayed anywhere in-game. This page aims to be a complete collection of all available keyboard controls. To efficiently edit maps you'll have to learn them; it doesn't take long and quite easy after getting used to the basics.
The mouse is mainly used to place and move things around, to adjust the size of objects, and to move the camera.
